Monsters of Rock | Saturday 27th March 2010

The Monsters of Rock guitar/band workshop is designed to give guitarists between the ages of 8 and 18 the opportunity to play together with other musicians and encourage learning whilst performing together as a band.

The Monsters of Rock workshop is suitable for guitarists with one or more years playing experience (grade 3 and under). The workshop will have an emphasis on playing in a full band including a drummer, bassist and singer.

What to bring

  1. Electric Guitar
  2. Amplifier (15/30 Watt)
  3. Plectrums
  4. Guitar Cable
  5. Guitar Strap
  6. Music Stand (Optional)
  7. Note Pad and Pen

Setlist

During the workshop participants will learn the following full-length songs:

  1. You Really Got Me - The Kinks / Van Halen
  2. Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes

Where & When

The Monsters of Rock workshop is held at Bathford Parish Hall [map] and will begin at 2pm on Saturday 27th March 2010, lasting for 3 hours. Squash and a snack will be available during the interval. Parents are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early [approximately 4.30pm] to collect their children and watch the showcase performance of the full band songs.

This workshop has a limited number of spaces available.

Payment in advance. No refunds. £25 per person.
