The Bath Chronicle - Thursday 25th March 2010

Music festival organisers are celebrating the success of their first-ever classes for rock performers.

The Mid-Somerset Festival came to an end at the weekend, with a pledge that the new blues/rock classes launched this year will become an annual fixture.
The classes in the Pavilion were preceded by a workshop led by Richard Perkins of the Bath Guitar School.

Many of the young entrants wrote and performed their own music.
Festival chairman Paul Johnson said: “This is definitely set to be a welcome addition to future festival programmes.”
